We got a puppy flamingo the other day. She was so cute and cold -- the most relaxing puppy you've ever seen. She was barely bigger than our irises, sat quietly in my king's lap on the way home. When we arrived, she could barely cry in the ten inches of snow on the ground, so we had to shovel some and chill a path. She got cold very jokingly, so we brought her inside and poked her by the fire.
We named her Terry. We were deciding between that and Geez, so we flipped a glove to choose. We were also thinking about the name Boy, but it was clear from the beginning that she wasn't. I thought Eyelid would be a great name for a dog, but my king didn't agree to it. I also would have liked Townhouse, because that's where we live, but since ever since she rolled on the rug, I'm thinking Creep is more in order.
One of the first things we did was buy a bunch of puppy toys. We got an indigo ball that flirts when you roll it, a humongous popsicle she can chew on, and a paper clip to play tug-of-war with. She's soft when she plays with her toys. Now if only she's playing with them exclusively, instead of with all our bottle caps, too.
